People have been very racist on the internet recently due to the coronavirus. A friend showed me a conversation between two people that made me sick to my stomach! The thing that the person said about Chinese people was absolutely disgusting to me. Idiots think that it all started with then eating weird animals like bats, cats, rats, and dogs. But they have been doing that for many years before the coronavirus even started. There have been many illnesses and viruses around the world. You don’t hear people calling the Ebola Virus the “black virus!”

It’s been a “political correctness” to be a racist towards China.Western media tells fake sh*t all the time and many people just believe it somehow.

@david I know. I’ve seen a lot of disgusting things said about Asians. It really shocked me how evil people can really be.

Because of those remarks I feel sad, I very much hope that people can let go of prejudice, and most Chinese people do not eat some strange food 😓

Lol, yes indeed you don’t hear Ebola as the “black virus.” But people will believe what they want to believe, no matter how much evidence and logic you throw at them. There are so many other countries that eat “peculiar” foods (most are due to the fact that they used to experience warfare/poverty/famine and that was the only option: eat to survive of die), yet why didn’t they experience the virus first? That’s not to say that wet markets (especially of endangered species) is good, but one cannot generalized the actions of a few to an entire nation. Anyways, thanks for your unprejudiced opinion 😪

eek. the only thing I want to add..is that it was socially acceptable to make fun of black people and Ebola at the time. With so many memes and the “Ebola touch” no on really spoke out 😔. At least we’re not repeating the level of that today, but disrespecting a whole nation for the fault of it’s government ain’t it. 😳
