美味しいブルーベリー味のヨーグルトを飲んだ!ヨーーーシューー!変な英語直そう!(この箱の英語はちょっと変。😄💦)

Today

’s lesson. Present Perfect.

(I try to teach in a way that makes English easy to use and is true for most cases. So I avoid explaining things with A lot of grammar rules.)

Basically, think about the time that your sentence is in. I mean today, yesterday, this week, January, last year... Don’t think of the action continuing or not. ”I’ve eaten breakfast.” It’s 11:00 now...am I still eating breakfast...no!

Use simple past tense for finished time. And use present progressive for unfinished time. L You’ll never go wrong with this.

Using simple past for unfinished time is okay too. But usually you have to be more specific. With present perfect, we use it to list things done but don’t care when it was done.

@Anna The expensive luxury is not necessary, but I think that the everyday small luxury enriches your heart. In general, it’s too awkward. Long explanation below. 😉 Weak points: word choice-expensive should high quality (this drink was only ¥100, is that expensive?😜), everyday should everyday should be Overly flowery language-luxury is usually expensive and high quality so don’t need to say ‘expensive luxury’. Also, is ¥100, a luxury? 😏 articles-don’t need them too colloquial-who is ‘I’ and should I care about what he/she thinks Repetitive-try not to use the same main word in the same sentence or same paragraph. So..... High quality things are not necessary, but small daily luxuries enrich your heart.

So...Do I have to use present perfect tense for all of today’s doing? For example, I’ve got up, I’ve washed my teeth, I’ve shopped at a bakery store, I’ve driven, I’ve watched a film etc... Aaa...I’m rally not good with past perfect tense😥
