A few people have been asking where to start with learning English

. Obviously I’ve never experienced learning English but here’s just a general guide for learning a new language (which might not work for everybody and feel free to add stuff in the comments). Also i don’t necessarily take my own advice 🤠👍🏼

1. Start by learning the writing system if it’s different to your native language
2. Learn the phonology
3. Learn basic vocab and phrases through an app like Duolingo, Babbel, Memrise, Lingodeer etc
4. Research some common/ useful phrases
5. Learn basic verbs and their conjugations
6. Use a beginners textbook which teaches vocabulary and grammar and complete the exercises
7. Once you have been using the app and textbook for a while and understand the basics of the language, start focusing more on language input. Try listening to music in your target language and learning the lyrics, watch movies and videos in our target language with subtitles in that language, read articles, books, magazines or whatever you like and record new words and their meanings in a notebook.
8. Use a notebook or document to record your thoughts, write about your day, or just practice expressing ideas in your target language
9. Practice having conversations with a native speaker (using this app, for example)

[not necessarily in this order]

That was a long post so here’s a dog

A good way to learn vocabulary is to write phrases or short sentences that use the vocabulary

Remember that one method doesn't works for everyone, try to find your study method and it'll be easier for u For example if your are More visual maybe you need to watch movies or videos or if you are More auditive you can listen to podcast etc
