I spent yet another marvelous day in the mountains yesterday. I did a 9 km hike with about a 450 meter elevation gain up to a high of 3690 meters. It was a good and much needed workout. Wonderful views!

The wildflowers are still blooming and there were some snowfields left. I was afraid the weather would turn bad, the clouds were building and at one point the rain started coming down, but everything calmed down and the sun made a comeback. It was a welcome cool-off from the summer heat in the lower elevations. On top I had to don a wind jacket, and I was glad to have a hat with a strap or else the wind would have ripped it off my head :)
