🍂 Hi everyone!
Today I will give you some language learning

tips! ⛄️ I hope they’ll be useful to you. 🙏🏻

LET’S START!

⒈ Learning words without context is almost useless. Don’t just learn words and their meaning.
❌ Today I learned 5 words! 😃 But I still don’t know how to use them. 🥴

➜ It’s better for you to remember short sentences/phrase using those words.
For example:
Smize - good at smizing for the camera
not break the bank - don’t have to breaking the bank

⒉ Try your absolute best to find someone to practice with, it doesn’t have to be a native speaker! But someone who has more progress than you is able to help you and help themselves at the same time.

➜ You are learning a language in order to use it. You are not going to talk only to yourself. And if you can’t find a native speaker, someone to practice with is better than nothing. The creative part of it is to be able to put the language you are learning into a more general and useful everyday arrangement.

⒊ Unless you’re an interpreter, translating things from your native language is useless, and most of the times incorrect which causes you to not make sense to others. You should write in your targeted language instead.

⒋ When you learn a language, admitting and accepting that you don't know everything is the key to growth and progress.

➜ Saying “I haven’t learned that yet” is better than saying “I don’t know” and saying “I’m sorry, I did not know that” is better than making an argument when you’re still wrong.

⒌ Keep a journal and write 5 sentences every day. Include the new words you learned. Or post it here in HelloTalk, no matter what the topic is about. Don’t listen to others about “this is not T.witter, this ain’t fa.ce book”. Just write! And let people either correct you, and/or engage in talking with you so you can practice!

To learn a language you gotta step out of your comfort zone, so don’t give up! Consistency is key.
Hope these tips help! 🤗🧡🍂

I’m on the road and it’s horribly bumpy so if there are any mistakes, I’m sorry! Should you have any questions, just feel free to message me with your question and I’ll try my best to reply to it soon.
