Is there a graduation party culture in Japan? In America, most parents will throw a party for their kids after they graduate high school. They invite family and friends, order catering, chat, and have a good time. It’s customary to give a gift of money to the student, and it’s not uncommon for them to get more than $1000.

My cousin’s graduation party was today. It was fun, but there were over 100 people in attendance. Since corona cases have gone up recently in America, I’m concerned that people at the party will get sick.
