栃木県の動物園　小さなスナネコの赤ちゃんをみんなに見せる

A zoo in Ibaraki has plans to show off its Sand Cats


「スナネコ」はアフリカの砂漠がある所などにいて、世界でいちばん小さなクラスの猫です 。

"Sand Cats" are found in deserts in Africa and are the smallest type of cat in the known world. 

栃木県那須町にある動物園「那須どうぶつ王国」では、４月に日本の動物園で初めてスナネコの赤ちゃんが生まれました。そして７月９日には、３匹の赤ちゃんが生まれました。

The first cat was born in April at a zoo in Nasu city known as "Nasu Animal Kingdom" . Another three kittens were born on the 9th of July.
７月に生まれた雌の赤ちゃんの１匹は、体の重さが３７０ｇぐらいになって、元気にミルクを飲んでいます。動物園は今月１３日から、この赤ちゃんをみんなに見せています。

One of the male kittens weighs 370 grams and is now drinking milk and there and plans for him to be shown to visitors.
動物園は、赤ちゃんの体の具合が悪い日はみんなに見せることをやめます。このため、見に来る人は電話で聞いてほしいと言っています。
On days when the babies aren't doing well they won't be shown to visitors so the zoo is asking people to call before coming to see the kittens.
