Meaning: A significant period of time has passed since you last did sth

Example (1): “I haven’t been to the gym for a minute due to all of the restrictions. Apart from my friends and the obvious freedom of regular life, the gym is what I miss the most.”

Example (2): “It’s been a minute since I bought some new clothes but now lots of retailers have large sales so it’s time! I think I might purchase some summer treats for everyone’s eyes.”
