(in English, 中文, and فارسی )

When somebody asks you, “What does

this word mean?”, don’t just directly translate to their native language. Please provide a detailed explanation of what it means and give an example. Chances are, the translation may not suit the meaning of that particular context.

Exactly, this is the best way of translating sth , by creating a situation which shows the usage of that word

It’s very fact that sometimes English learners like me know all the words of a sentence but have no idea what the sentence means. In this cases a native speaker’s help does work well, far better than any translator app.

Your translation is so natural, I just want to mention sth about formal and spoken forms. Take a look at these: The first sentence is in the spoken form, and the second one is in the formal form. Now, have a look at this: چی میشود You have chosen one word in the spoken form while the very next word has been chosen in the formal form. It wouldn’t sound natural. Instead, you’d better choose both of them in either formal or spoken form.

Instead of “چي ميشود” you should to say "چه ميشود"
