    It's different word even have the same spelling.. "Then" is a bridge word...using in compound and complex sentences.. "than" is a comparison word..which is used to compare using "er" and "more" .😊

    @merry Ng it’s not the same meaning. For instance, ‘then’ is usually used as a transitionary word (I turned off the lights [first step] then I went to sleep [second step]). Than is a word used to contrast 2 things. For example, (I ate more food than my brother). Hope that helps.
