English Slang of the day: “To be knackered”
This adjective is
used to describe being extremely tired. It is an informal phrase, so should only really be used with friends and family.
Here’s an example:
Pete 🗣 “How are you doing mate?”
Dave🗣 “Ah, I’m knackered! Just spent the whole afternoon shopping, now I need to rest”
