どうううもどう、こんんんんばんは～もう木曜日になりました！「明日からダイエ

ット」の赤髭です。


Heyheyhey people, it's another Thursday and I'm putting off caring about my manly figure until tomorrow. 


ニュージーランドはまたロックダウンと言う事で生活のリズムがちょっとおかしくなったので、ある「食べ物の神社」ニュージーランドによくある「Dairy」に行きました。


Since my hometown is under another lockdown I decided to embark on a pilgrimage to a "Food Shrine" that we like to call a "Dairy" here in NZ. 


皆さんは海外のDairyに行った事ありますか？百貨店でもないしコンビニでもないけど、楽しいよ！！


  Have you guys ever visited a dairy on your exploits overseas? They're not quite general stores and they're not really convenience stores either but boy are they fun when you've got nothing better to do than mush your face into an icecream.

Aさん Just came to New Zealand and has made friends with Bさん.

Aさんはニュージーランドに来たばっかりでBさんと仲良くなれて会話をしてます。


Aさん：Man it's hot today, is there any where we can get some ice cream?
Aさん：いやぁ、今日は暑いね、どっかでアイスでも買えるとこがないかな？
Bさん：Yeah there's a dairy just down the road from here.
Bさん：あるよ、この道真っ直ぐあるいたら「デアリ」があるよ

Aさん：A dairy?
Aさん：デアリ？
Bさん：Yeah, you know, a shop that sells stuff.
Bさん：そうよ、知ってるでしょ？色んな製品を売ってる店なんだ

Aさん：Can't say that I've heard of a "Dairy" before
Aさん：聞いたことないなぁ「デアリ」と言うのは
Bさん：Well yeah, that's because it's Kiwi English
Bさん：まぁね、キウイ英語だからね

Aさん：Kiwi? Like Kiwifruit?
Aさん：キウイってフルーツの？
Bさん：You are so new here. Kiwi as in "New Zealand" Kiwi
Bさん：ニュージーランドに来て知らない事が多いね。キウイって「ニュージーランド」ってキウイよ

Aさん：Oh like the bird?
Aさん：あ、鳥のキウイ？
Bさん：Yeah, but we use it to describe ourselves and our country and culture. 
Bさん：まぁそれもいるけど。。。ニュージーランド人やニュージーランド文化よりキウイの人やキウイの文化と言ったりしますね。

Aさん：Ah ok. But why dairy?
Aさん：そうなんで。。。で「デアリ」ってなぜ？
Bさん：I think it's because these small local shops only used to sell dairy products
Bさん：たぶん。。昔に乳製品しか売らなかったからかな？

Aさん：Dairy products? 
Aさん：乳製品？
Bさん：Yeah you know, like milk and cheese and cream?
Bさん：そうよ、牛乳とかチーズとか、クリーム。
