Idiom of the Day

“Walk in someone else’s shoes”

This is a very

personal idiom for me, because I believe that people everywhere need to do this more often. To “walk in someone else’s shoes” is to say that you are trying to see a point of view from someone else’s perspective. Rather than only seeing an issue or matter from how it only effects you, you should “walk in their shoes” and see how it may impact a neighbor, someone from a different province, someone of a different gender or race, or from someone across the world.

Don't judge others, you don't know their circumstance or what they being through, we have different experiences, cultures, different abilities... etc.. Don't judge someone from your point of view, you have to walk in his shoes first.

We have to put ourselves in one's shoes before judging them.
