Phrase of the day : “Give somebody the cold shoulder” 😒

This

phrase is used to describe intentionally ignoring somebody or to treat them in an unfair manner. It is similar to giving someone the “silent treatment”.

Here’s an example:

Pete 🗣 “How’s it going with Emily? She still giving you the cold shoulder mate?”

Dave 🗣 “Yep! It’s really bad, I’ve tried to say sorry but she’s just not listening”

quick question❗️ she still giving you the cold shoulder? or "she's" still giving you the cold shoulder?

@Niko this is very common to emit certain words like this in daily talk. Technically it should be “she’s” and if it was written in a book it would be. Great question though, well spotted

@Alice 艾丽丝 the scenario is Dave has annoyed Emily and tried to say sorry to her, but she’s still not forgiven him so he is receiving a cold shoulder from her
