Yet another installment

of my trip report from earlier this month:

We are still in Canyonlands, Island in the Sky District. These photos are mostly from the Grand View Point area. The interesting erosions in the sandstone looked like ancient people's dwellings. Again, countless views present themselves here, the rock outcroppings are beautiful and so are the junipers that have to survive on little water.

There is just something about this place that really speaks to me. The seemingly endless desolate lands, the spectrum of colors, the snow covered peaks in the distance, the delicate flowers, the magnificent skies, the wind...

My favorite time is really golden hour and it was quickly approaching. I had to take a picture of this raven waiting for food scraps at the parking area.
