Today I went to Yokohama for the first time this year. The weather

was very nice and I enjoyed walking around. There were so many couples walking around and everyone looked so happy. I think Japanese people are genuinely happy or just really good at making themselves look happy (on the outside).

Sometimes I feel super out of place in Japan. It’s hard to fit in in another country for me. I feel like I’m just making excuses though. I know there’s millions of people who would want to be able to live in Japan or go abroad too but don’t have chance like I do.

I hope to find courage this year to just talk to people more often make mistakes and learn from them. I don’t know if I’ll stay in Japan forever but I want to make my time here worth it and try not to overthink everything too much.

Why have you been in Japan? Is it for work? I think it’s really hard sometimes to get be accustomed to different cultures. But your comment sounds positive. I wish you can be always positive in Japanese life.

I really know what you mean because I also feel out of place when I’m in abroad.
