No. In Thai languagenot same English. Thetone don't higher in question sentence. But if you want to use high tone, you can add "rue" at the end of question sentence. Example: สบายดีรึ / sabuy dee rue เป็นไงบ้างรึ / pen ngai bang rue ไปไหนมารึ / pai nai ma rue กินข้าวแล้วรึ / gin khao laew rue 😄😄

It' less formal. You can say this phrase with anyone by adding Krub at the end 'Pen Ngai Bang Krub'. But mostly, we say it with friend.

The positive common reply is Sabai dee. The negative one are Mai dee tou rai or Mai koy sabai. Thai people say this question when you meet someone whom you haven't met them for a long time. If you want to ask your friend 'how are you?', you should say Pen Ngai Bang.
