🎄Day 8- Christmas Traditions - 2nd Lesson - Christmas Food🎄

Christmas is a great time to indulge in yummy food and hot drinks to keep you warm and full through the long, cold nights.

Here is a quick list (with pictures) of a few snacks we love to eat here in the UK around Christmas:

(Picture 1) Mince Pies - Tiny shortcrust pastries filled with fruit, spices and sometimes a splash of alcohol!

(Picture 2) Yule Log - Originally from Norway, this wood-shaped cake is a type of “Swiss Roll” made of chocolate and covered in powdered sugar to look like snow.

(Picture 3) Gingerbread House - Made of cookie dough, cut in to shapes resembling a house, and covered in candies and icing, dating back 500 years.

@Penny yule logs are more common, then mince pies, then the house. The gingerbread house is pretty tricky to make so I doubt many make this themselves. A higher percentage on all 3 of these will be bought in store
