The Virus
It will bring us closer together or further apart
Wishing that we could go back to the start,
When going out wasn’t a risk or a worry
And we could buy toilet roll in no hurry,
This isn’t the time to spread hurt or cast blame
Because we are all suffering just the same,
We must stop hoarding and fueling our greed
So there’s enough for those in dire need,
We can all be heroes if we do what we’re told
While heroic doctors and nurses remain bold,
Risking their lives, their futures for us
That’s why now we have to give them our trust
For tomorrow can still be brighter than today
And in years to come we can proudly say,
To our children, our loved ones we made it through,
I did it.

Make it happen. Stay at home.
