Más plantas 🌿

Hoy fui a uno de mis centros de jardinería favoritos

. ¡Los invernaderos aquí son hermosos!

Do you like plants, flowers and gardening? I like to plant things that attract bees and butterflies.

Lovely! I have my own little garden on my yard with some flowers, native Chilean cactuses, two orange trees, a lemon tree and a grape vine. I used to also have an apricot and plum tree but had to cut those down. My dad is really crazy about gardening and on my family’s house on the country side we have many different fruit trees, plants and flowers. Both native and exotic.

@Leon Kohon That sounds absolutely beautiful! I wish the UK was warmer so tropical plants and fruits could thrive as here they are much harder to look after!

@Jade The northern and central parts of Chile are amazing to grow things. Up north we have tropical fruits like papaya and mango. On the Central Valley we have most of the country’s wineries, and more common fruits like apples, oranges, strawberries, and everything else that grows best on a mild weather. Down south is a different thing, the Patagonian region has a very icy and cold weather, with a lot of snow during the year. Is great to see glaciers, beautiful lakes and volcanos but not much grows there outside of a greenhouse.

@Jade haha yeah it’s so long that you have almost everything, from the driest desert on earth all the way down south to the Antarctic region. Even in Santiago you’re just a half hour away from the snow parks and just and hour away from the beaches. You can go skiing and diving on the same day

Here in the street where i live ( i live near to the sea, the temperature is high ¿It's very hot?) a couple of houses stand out (one Is mine) for having plants, the temperature is distint, usually the heat is intense but the plants seems create a microclimate, and in those houses the humidity, the freshness Is felted, breathed, felt in the air. The presences of plants reach you meters before you reach them
