2019 Book Reviews
#2 Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice
Found There by Lewis Carroll. After finishing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland I knew I needed to read the sequel immediately and so I did. This book serves as an excellent sequel and I enjoyed it more than the first.
It takes the nonsensical nature and language play of the first book and enhances them. We are introduced to a slew of new characters and also meet some old ones. It begins with Alice walking through a large mirror where she finds the world to be reversed, much like the reversed image we see when we look into a mirror. What follows is a story that remains really entertaining throughout and also features the famously nonsensical poem "Jabberwocky".
My rating: 8.1/10.
