Most of the time these messages will be ignored.
1) Post a real profile picture so that others can see your face.
2) Spend some time completing your profile. Let everyone know a little about you.
3)Read your new friend’s self introduction before asking him/her questions.
4)Be a friend in addition to a learner. Most people are here to learn. Don’t just ask someone to teach you English without getting to know them first.
5)Have fun!
6)Don’t worry about making mistakes. We learn from our mistakes!
