LESSON 9: Common English Idioms, Part
2 LEVEL: Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
◇▪︎◇▪︎◇
》Welcome to another lesson of Crash Course English! It's your amazingly articulate Professor Kai😉 This week's lesson is part two of Common English Idioms. An idiom is an expression that's unique to one language and/or culture, whose literal meaning differs from the intended (figurative) meaning. There is no Test Yourself section.
》To hear how each idiom is pronounced, join my group chat, where I will be sending voice recordings reading the idioms aloud. If you would like me to read the entire lesson itself or if you miss the opportunity to hear the recordings in my group chat, please DM me and I will send you voice recordings.
》For previous lessons in my Crash Course English series, just scroll down to see more posts. Or if you're too lazy to do that, DM me and I'll send you the links🙃
》Please give me feedback on my lessons! I want to make sure that my explanations/examples are clear enough that you understand well. If you need more or less of anything, would like to see lessons structured differently, or have any questions/concerns, please let me know!
》A note about 'levels': I rank the levels of the lessons according to the level of grammar, not how well an English learner is able to understand the lesson itself. I try to keep things short and simple, but I can't cater to specific needs when it comes to language barriers. I apologize if you're a beginner and can't understand the lesson well enough. If you need me to explain one-on-one, please DM me!
