Lesson one :
Negative verb in English
: - If it is present and ending in (s), put (does not) before the verb, for example :
He speaks english very well.
彼は英語をとても上手に話します。
He does not speak english very well
彼は英語をあまり上手に話せません。
- If the verb is present and not ending in (s), put (do not) before the verb without changing it, such as :
They live in Denmark
彼らはデンマークに住んでいます。
They do not live in Denmark
彼らはデンマークに住んでいません。
- If the verb is in the past, put (did not) before the verb, and convert the past verb into the present tense, such as :
She wrote me a letter
彼女は私に手紙を書いた。
She did not write me a letter
彼女は私に手紙を書かなかった。
