👩🏼👩🏼 Story Time 👩🏼👩🏼

There is the true story of Helen Modjeska

, the Polish actress, who was a guest at an evening party. The admiring company pressed her for a recitation from some play. She at first declined on the grounds that memory might not serve her without the accustomed stage settings, lights, etc. However, the guests insisted so insistently that she finally acquiesced, announcing she would recite in her native tongue. Her hearers sat listening to her, spellbound. Some who were there were even moved to tears. When she finished she was asked the name of the touching story she had related.
She smiled & said, "I counted to 100 hundred in Polish.”

Hahaha funny story but it brings us deeper thinks. Have these hypocritical guests ever wanted to be actors? lol 😂 we should live without a mask and be honest.

@Sho thank you 🙏 your right about people being moved by sounds. The story illustrates that if you put your whole heart into something you can even make counting to 100 in a foreign language something that moves people, there’s no substitute for enthusiasm 😉

Her enthusiasm and pride as a professional actress was greatly poured into her recitation that even counting up to 100 made the hearers tear up. I guess the lesson is; Just pour your heart and whole being into something you are so passionate about (maybe your profession). It is your enthusiasm that makes your work great and moves people.

@Archer Primrose Hill I understand, because the other guests don't understand her language, she just used her mother language and emotion from 1 to 100, right?
