British English 🇬🇧

To respond to ‘how are you’?

You can say

‘I’m not bad’

You may hear someone ask ‘alright’ or ‘you alright?’

And this means ‘hey, how are you/what’s up’

A normal way to respond is just to repeat ‘alright’

Example:

Hey how are you?
I’m not bad...

Alright?
Alright.

You alright?
Yeah I’m alright.
