Here are my top 3 tips to improve your vocabulary..
1.)Use it

or loose it.
In English we have an expression: “Use it or lose it,” which basically means if you don’t practice an ability, you will forget it. This idea can be used to help you remember new English vocabulary. The best way to remember a new word is to use it right away so it will stay in your memory. When you learn a new word, try to say it in sentences a few times over the next week and you’ll never forget it.

2.)Read books or articles that challenge you.
I recommend university textbooks, or technical magazines or online podcasts and articles that are just a fraction above your current level of competence. That is, books that are challenging to your intellect. In this way, you will expose yourself to lots of challenging vocabulary.

3.)Use the word in the correct context.
Once you have a list of words, you can begin to commit these words to memory. The best way to do this, is to use these words in their correct context, that is, to use them in a sentence. For example if the word you are trying to remember is… “Enormous” You may write..

"I like to show off my enormous vocabulary”
"Todd has taught me an enormous number of new words”
"The Great Wall of China is enormous. I couldn't believe how big it is”
