Simple tip to improve your writing ability

:

Keep sentences short and simple. If you have to put a comma in a sentence, only use ONE comma MAX per sentence. 句子里最多用一个逗号！！

If you have a sentence with two commas, take one out and break it up into two different sentences. Please.

错：Mike has three girlfriends who love him, and he loves them all too, but he can only choose one.

对：Mike has three girlfriends who love him. He loves them all too, but he can only choose one.



Your standardized tests just want to test your ability to understand the hardest sentences. But when writing your own essays and papers, it is best to keep your sentences short and simple. I use this rule myself whenever I write.
