Daughter, laughter, and Terpsichore,
Typhoid, measles, topsails, aisles,
Exiles, similes, and reviles;
Scholar, vicar, and cigar,
Solar, mica, war and far;
One, anemone, Balmoral,
Kitchen, lichen, laundry, laurel;
Gertrude, German, wind and mind,

    @Eugene I guess it is all perspective. When I first introduce it to my chat group everyone saw the challenge with the word play. But gradually , we broke it down in to four sections ( still have four more) and it became quite fun. Even I made mistakes and I been learning English for 39 years. Non- native English speakers spoke better than me 😂😂😂 they even taught me how to pronounce some words 😂😂😂 this was quite different than our typical daily reading activities. But I really enjoy it because it made everyone loosen up and English fun to learn. I hope you give it a try even if you mess up. 🤗

    I have heard this poem a few times. I have seen YouTube videos. It is interesting, a bit discouraging. But what makes me feel better it is that even the native speakers see it as a challenge to read it nicely and correctly. It shows that English is not so easy in the opposite to many nonnative speakers claims. Some things are easy but some other things can present a challenge.😊

    @Berik Mathers hey I’m not a teacher , I just post these for people to practice. Even someone who speaks English all their lives still make common mistakes. And for the record, this poem has about eight parts all to get you to practice pronunciation. In the gist of reading people often stumble with sounds. Please don’t act like you never make mistakes 🗣

    @ZIEN it is lol it’s part a very long poem with at least 800 words that are really wacky but it helps with pronunciation no wrong or right way to do🤗🌞also check in the groups announcements and members recording to listen if you want .
