📝 Describing Your HelloTalk/SNS Picture 🇬🇧
 There are some wonderful
and fun pictures on HelloTalk posts (and a few rubbish ones, too). However, sometimes the sentences describing them are not very interesting.☺ Apart from 'picture,' 'photo,' or 'photograph,' you can also say 'image,' 'snapshot,' or 'shot.' Maybe even 'close-up' (a close-up view), 'portrait' or 'landscape.'
'Portrait' has two meanings: i) a picture of a person, usually showing at least head and shoulders; ii) a picture with longer sides and shorter top and bottom (like a phone shape).📱
'Landscape' also has two meanings: i) a picture of a land or countryside scene; ii) a picture with longer top and bottom and shorter sides (like a TV shape).🖥
Occasionally, you might replace 'of' or the verb, 'took,' with other words, too.
Examples of sinple sentence structures:
-My friend photographed this amazing cherry tomato.👍
-I took a close-up of this lovely, red tomato sauce.👍
-A picture featuring a tomato, taken in Spain.👍
-My snapshot of a tomato plant.👍
-This landscape shows a tomato farm.👍
-An image displaying the true beauty of a tomato salad.👍
Good luck taking, posting, and describing your pictures 😊
PS. Although slang usually sounds so ugly, there is a really cute word for a photo: 'snap.' ❤
PPS. Putting photos on websites for others may be nice, but the memories you keep yourself are more important.❤
