This is a place called French Pass. That is, the pass can be reached via a 6 km long trail full of flowers and nice views at the upper portion. Very good for soul and body. The pass is at 3673 meters.

I had a very special encounter on my way down. I surprised a cow moose with her calf. Moose can be very temperamental and can attack. People have have been seriously injured by getting trampled. This mama though was very calm. She looked me up and when I stood still, they just proceeded to munch on the bushes on the trail. It held me up for about 20 minutes as there was no way to get around them. I did not mind however, as it gave me a chance to photograph them without hurry. This is the first time I have come so close to a moose.
