To anyone who wants to join the English learners group chat and

to those already in the group, here's a list explaining my three policies:

Questions Policy: This policy pertains to any question asked about English. You may ask any question you want. Please tag at least two teachers/moderators. Don't only tag me. For a list of teachers/moderators and their introductions, see my comment under this post.

Homework Policy: This policy pertains to all homework/assignments for school. You may ask for help with any kind of English homework/assignment, but please do not assume the teacher will do your homework for you! It's very important to us that you actually learn and use English, so we want you to do as much possible. Very important comment below this post with rules on how to get help with homework! Please read it.

Inactivity Policy: Starting February 1st, I will start taking attendance every week in the group chat. If you are active in the group chat/don't want to be removed, all you have to do is send a text (either privately or in the group chat) saying "active". If you plan on being inactive for a while but want to remain in the group chat, let me know. You may miss attendance for 4 weeks before being removed.

How to Get Help with Homework (not only in group chats, but also when you DM me): DO: ✔Send the homework either in a text or in CLEAR pictures. (If it's a writing assignment, send it as a text.) ✔Specify what you need help with. ✔Try to answer as many questions as possible on your own. It's ok if you get some wrong. You can't learn if you don't try. DO NOT: 🚫Spam with homework. While I want to help as much as possible, I only have so much time. The earlier you send assignments before they are due, the better it will be for both of us. Please don't send assignments every day either, especially if they're long. 🚫Send assignments without an explanation or even a greeting. I will not help you if you do not explain what you need help with. 🚫Refuse to answer questions on your own. As mentioned above, I want you to actually learn. How can you learn if you don't practice it?

Is it compulsory to be active?🙁, I am only active when I need help and I might forget about it

@Simran Don't worry, you're quite active lol. As long as you say something or participate in the group at least once every 4 weeks, you won't be removed. I would love for everyone to participate in all the activities—especially the ones that focus on areas they want to improve. But it's not necessary and you can definitely use the gc just to get help

@Kailie カイリ Thankyou so much :), and yeah I am usually active but I haven't been as active recently due to exams, I am focusing more on other subjects and that is why I didn't really have questions and I wasn't active and I am not sure if I will be

TEACHER INTRODUCTIONS My name is Kailie, and I am the creator of the group chat. I'm best at giving explanations to questions about grammar. I post Crash Course English lessons every Tuesday and am often online during the mornings (EST). A little about me: I love writing short stories and I have a strange fascination with watching dye disperse/dissolve in water. Hello, my name is Caitlin. I am from England, so I would be delighted to help you learn British English. I’m best at helping you learn when and how to use grammar in English, but I would also love to teach you British slang and help you with your pronunciation (although I can only help you learn an English accent). Also, I will be available from 16:30 to 23:30 (GMT) most days. I might be doing homework, so my responses won’t always be fast, but I will try my best.
