I've done ancestry. I don't know about 23 and me. You get your ethnicity breakdown, you get a list of matches,

I don't think ancestry has a chromosome browser option to compare dna.

I also tried FTDNA, they have a chromosome browser. FTDNA can do many other genetic tests.

@Señor Mapache Ooh wow! I haven't heard of that one. Thank you for your input! ☺ Were you surprised by your results??

I was surprised because it confirmed what I already believed because I knew that I was going to have european, indigenous american from Mexico, and probably some african DNA. Turns out, according to the test, I'm about 70 percent european, 27 percent indigenous american from Mexico and the rest North African.

@Señor Mapache 🤩 Wow! That's really incredible how precise the results can be. It must be nice for you to know that about yourself. You must also feel closer connected to your ancestors in a way.

Unfortunately, I can't trace most of my native american ancestors, but at least I can trace some of my european ancestors thinks to the catholic church records.

@Señor Mapache Oh right that makes a lot of sense. Well I will have to let you know what I discover whenever I decide to do it myself! It should be fun, like you said.

I want to do ancestry sometime. However, it's very expensive here. Once I save up enough I'll do Ancestry.
