Parts of Speech poem
 
A noun

is called,
A person, place or thing.
Some examples include,
Teacher, desk, and ring.
A verb is an action,
Something you can do.
Run, jump and walk,
Are examples you can use.
 
Adjectives are descriptions,
Like black, red, and blue.
Old, young, and large,
Are good examples too.
 
Adverbs are words
Used to modify,
Other verbs and adjectives,
And mostly end in “ly”.
 
On to prepositions,
They have a lot to do.
They give a location
Like on, under or through.
 
Pronouns are special
They replace nouns
He, she and they
Are some that are found.
 
Conjunction, junction
What say you?
Combining sentences,
That’s what we do.
 
Interjections are special,
Yes, it’s true,
They get punctuation, Wahoo!!

    Thank you for the information with your lovely voice! I have a question though, when you guys pronounce "a" as "/ae/"? Actually in the textbook i've learned that "a" pronounce as just "/a/" but many Americans pronounce "a" as "/ae/".

    @미셸 ohh you speak Korean very well as well! Thank you for the record! But i mean, Mmm.. about the article! When people pronounce the sentence : I am a girl. Some say like : I am /a/ girl. other say : i am /ae/ girl. in America dramas. I've just guessed when they wanna stress some word, they use /ae/ sound.. Is it right or there's something else?
