I tried Kyudo when I was in Japan. It was difficult to get used

to, since I have done western archery since I was 11.

I enjoyed it, but unfortunately there aren't many places to study Kyudo here in Australia. I also do not think I got the full experience at all, since it was only an hour long session.

Is Kyudo expensive to study in Japan? I'd like to do it often when I live in Japan.

@Carter Maybe it is expensive if you buy bow and allows and clothes . But you can rent all tools While you are a beginner. The Lesson fee is not so expensive in Japan. I had been doing KYUDO for long years in the club activity.

@mayuko-hiromi Thanks for the info! Do you think Kyudo is welcoming to beginners? I am excited to try it out, but I think there are many rules and traditions which need to be learnt and might be a bit strange to a foreigner especially.

@Carter you are welcome. I think Kyudo is welcoming to beginners. I know what you mean, but all of them are routine works and have a lot of meaning. You need to be learnt a graceful carriage. You might have strange feelings. But if you start to doing KYUDO , you understand the meanings. It’s important to understand on your own while you are doing KYUDO.
