🇺🇸💕 What to say when you don’t understand what the other person

said:

Formal:
➜ I didn’t quite follow that.
➜ Sorry.
➜ I didn’t catch that.
➜ I’m not sure I understood well.
+
➜ Could you repeat that please?
➜ Could you say that again?
➜ Would you mind speaking more slowly?

Informal/Slang:
➜ Sorry?
➜ Hmm?
➜ Wait, what? (Can also be used when you’re surprised and want to confirm what the other person said.)
➜ Come again?
➜ Say what?
➜ You what?
➜ I don’t get it.
➜ It’s all Greek to me.

If you have any questions, please message me. I’ll try my best to help you. 😊

@Vinay Kumar Use could when you’re politely requesting something: “Could you please say that again?”. Use can when you’re telling someone to do something or asking if someone is able to do something: Can you please be quiet! Can you pass me the remote?

@Vinay Kumar Although could is used for past and future tense, it is also used in the present tense when it is describing a possibility or is part of a question. You can google more on that subject since I’m not good at explaining tenses.
