My job is an English teacher at NOVA, but I am currently not working because of Coronavirus, and I am on an indefinite strike. I am in the General Support Union in Tokyo, but most teachers working at NOVA are in GU (General Union in Osaka). They also went on strike.

    @re re re I am not sure. I am not with the GU. I consulted with Posse and joined one of the Unions they recommended because I liked their methods.

    @Mippy They should think, "Wow, they have courage to stand up for their lives, safety, wellbeing, and rights." They should see they have a choice between oppression and submission to bullying, OR advocating for themselves and others. They should be able to read traditional stories like 桃太郎 and know that can be a metaphor for the power we have in each of us to stand up to greed just as Momotaro did to the greedy demons.

    @Mippy I can't speak for everyone, but I don't like strikes, but what other way is there to advocate for our safety and lives? There are Japanese doing it too within the union I am in.
