Second day in Tokyo and I remember feeling a little worn

out from the massive previous day of walking around the city. The weather was quite warm but sunny and beautiful.

For breakfast I took a walk to the convenience store and spotted a salad in the refrigerated food section, only to be superceded moments later by the Japanese meal which is known for dividing people's opinions. Natto. I knew I had to try it! So I paid for it and made my way across the road toward a small alcove of benches, eager to experience Natto first hand. 😃
(The flavour was interesting and not so bad.)

Today's plan was rather free form. I had a number of places that I knew I wanted to visit so it was a day of just heading to these areas and seeing what came of it. If I found distractions and interesting spots along the way that would be fine.

First place I arrived at was the Imperial Palace a short walk from Tokyo City. I beautiful area, where the use of space and openness of the city really surprised me. Mid-morning, I found a place to take a drawing in the park. Snacking on some seaweed rice crackers I'd purchased the day before.

The day ended later that afternoon in Shinjuku. The visit in Shinjuku Park was a true highlight.

Another big day of walking and sightseeing. Could I keep this up? I knew tomorrow would be different I would be leaving Tokyo and heading to Kanazawa for the day. So I could rest well on the train.

For dinner I made an unplanned trip to Ebisu. It wasn't far from Shibuya and I thought just a different area to explore.

Moments later after enjoying some noodles, I decided to visit a cafe for some coffee. Being lazy I signalled to the shop clerk for what I thought was numbered desserts. With a puzzled expression he took the order and I waited.
Once my meal finally came to me two black coffees arrived and I knew immediately that I needed to make more effort to communicate clearer if I was to have any success in Japan. 🤣

When I went to Hawaii, I ordered two salads. At that time, Although I was with friends, two salads aren't necessary.I could understand words of shop's staff.Although I explained over and over again, he didn't understand to my explanation. 😥

@Marine I'm sure you have no problems 😁😆🤭🤭 Maybe in an English cafe it gets difficult. I can believe that. I really like Natto. I had it again this year with rice. It was even better! 👌😃🥣😋 Yes, not many people were wearing mask. Not the case now.
