I'm a quiet and unfriendly person, so I don't want to have an extra communication with other people, at least in the office. That's why I dislike such an event. But I feel I envy your co-workers who got a chocolate from you! 😂

@Inami Dai I love that part of Japanese Valentine’s Day 😂 When I worked in Japan I always brought my coworkers chocolate, and was happy to receive it from others. It’s too bad that it makes you feel pressure! I think it’a fun.

Honestly, I hate Valentine's day. Because a lot of women give me chocolate despite I don't want it. Of course, it doesn't mean I'm popular between women. All male workers also take it not only me in the day. It's a unique habit called "義理チョコ (Literal translation: courtesy chocolate)" in Japan. Most ladies deliver chocolate to male workers in the office. I feel it's strange. Of course I know it's just an event but the point is not only that. I always be confused with a kind of pressure that I have to give them some sweets next month in return. So, I need to count and remember who and how many ladies did give me what. It will take time, costs, and effort. Of course, even if I didn't commit to the white day, nobody will blame me. But it's uncomfortable to me because I'm a man of the spirit of give and take. I wish if that day was a normal day... Putting that aside, I love chocolate! 😋🍫
