Meaning: Practice test/exam

Example (1): “Tomorrow some of my delightful students will have a test but I did not give them a mock exam as I believe in their ability.”

Example (2): “In more formal and important situations mock exams are very useful. They give students a taste of pressure, a chance to improve time management and get a sense of the exam’s structure.”
