My English slang tip for today is the term

“couch potato” couch potato simply means a lazy person who just sits on the couch and watches tv or other media all the time

For example:
Sarah never wants to go on walks with me anymore, she just wants to be a couch potato and watch her new show.

This term couch potato is not seen as very mean- but almost a teasing nicer way to say someone likes to spend too much time sitting around.
