I was walking through a Chinese marketplace one day when I saw

a very strange sight. A man was crouched behind a woman who was paying for some dumplings. His arms were stretched out and it seemed that he planned to surprise her when she turned around. I asked my friends if the man was a robber and they said yes but that we should be quiet and wait to see what would happen. I did not want the man to rob the lady so I yelled and he quickly ran away when the lady turned around.
My friends told me that I made a mistake because the robber could have tried to hurt me. I disagreed. It was better to help the lady even if it was dangerous for me.

You did the right thing. 👍 I know some old ladies (and some men, to be honest) who yells on kids every time when they play and laugh in the playground in the afternoon. And the same time, that women prefer to hid and be quiet when some teenagers or adults sit in the same playground, drink beer, smoke, swear ... Strange people, weird time.
