Easter is a religious holiday that takes place on the first Sunday
following the full moon on/after the spring equinox (kinda confusing, I know lol). During this holiday, Christians celebrate Jesus' resurrection (coming back to life after dying on the cross). These days, it has become associated with egg decorating, egg hunts, the Easter bunny, and chocolate. This is because many non-religious people interpret Easter as a holiday celebrating spring and new life (eggs, chicks, and bunnies). I don't know why we added chocolate to the holiday...I guess Valentine's Day wasn't enough lol.My family celebrates Easter from the Christian perspective, but we also decorate eggs, have an egg hunt, and get Easter baskets filled with chocolate and other small treats. This year I finally decided I was too old for being in the egg hunt, so instead I helped hide the eggs🙃 For church, we dress up a little more than normal! We usually get new dresses and suits for Easter, but I just wore my favorite dress this year haha
