Today I was working outside collecting data about birds. I keep

hearing the sirens of firetrucks and ambulances. I looked out on the bay and saw that some ice fisherman had fallen through the ice and others were trapped on the ice and unable to return to land because the ice near the shore had melted. About 12 people had to be rescued. Thankfully everyone was okay. Rochester, New York, USA
