're from you might think it's one thing when in fact it's the other. 


皆さん、ホッティを聞いたことありますか？国によって意味が大きく変わるかもしれない


Let's have a look at what happens if you're confusing hotties.

If someone is a hottie in US English it means they're 'attractive' but what about in British English depending on a certain situation?

ホッティの意味で理解できなくなるとどんな話になるでしょうか？

米語だと「ホッティ」は「魅力的な人」（美人、イケメン）と言う意味になるけど。。イギリス英語だとどう変わるかな？


A is from New Zealand and uses British English　（Aさんはニュージーランド人でイギリス英語を使ってます）
B is from the US and uses American English but is visiting New Zealand(Bさんはニュージーランドで旅に来てます）


Aさん：How are you finding the weather here?
Aさん：こっちの天気になれてるかな？
Bさん：Well to be honest I'm not used to things being so damn cold in August.
Bさん：いやぁ、正直言いますと8月にこんな寒さになかなか慣れないよ

Aさん：Yeah it was definitely odd growing up here watching it snow during christmas on TV
Aさん：そうだね、幼い頃にテレビによく出た「ホワイトクリスマス」を見るのが中々不思議だった
Bさん：What's up with your houses too? Why don't you have any AC?
Bさん：でこっちの家はなんでエアコンがないの？

Aさん：Well it never gets too hot or too cold.. but if you're cold why not get a hottie to warm you up
Aさん：まぁね。。暑すぎるのはないけど。。寒すぎるのもないよね。。ホッティ（湯たんぽ）で体を温まればいいじゃない？

Bさん：Hah, I wish I could but you know.. I'm single
Bさん：いやぁ。。それがしたいけど。。。独身ですよ。。
