Blanketing down - When snow falls down suddenly and costs the ground like a white blanket you can use this term (一気につもり的な感じかな？）


Bucketing down (aka raining buckets) - used for heavy rain - 滝のように結構降ってるときに使えます！


Muggy - Humid (蒸し暑い）


Wishy washy - fickle/changeable (変わりやすい）


Forecast - Weather report/information (天気予報）



Aさん: Wow it's really blanketing down now, I just looked out my window and everything is white as a polar bears beard.

Bさん:You don't say? It's bucketing down here in New Zealand. The wind has died down as well so it's getting kinda muggy. 

Aさん: Isn't it supposed to be summer though? 

Bさん: Yeah but the weather can be a bit wishy washy here. 

Aさん: You don't say. What's the forecast for tomorrow?

Bさん: It says it's gonna be sunny which means it'll probably rain again. 

Aさん: Fake news eh?

Bさん: Something like that.
