One of my favorite activities is reading at Starbucks with a

coffee. I'm working on "It" by Stephen King today.

How long does it take you to finish one novel, just with thickness of that book in most left picture sitting on your table. I can finish a book like that in about one day, if it is written in chinese.

@two it's about 600 pages. I dunno how long it would take me to read it in English. In Japanese, it will probably take me a month if I read it every day.

@Actually a Red Panda do you think reading is a good way of studying the second language?

@two reading is my favorite way to study, but that's why my listening isn't nearly as good

@Actually a Red Panda listening is also my pain, it is actually the most difficult part in learning English. They have accent, slangs, different talking speed, only few can speak as clear as English teachers.

@two I highly recommend watching English movies and TV shows with English subtitles to practice listening. Anything you don't understand, read the subtitles and then listen again to hear it.

@Actually a Red Panda lately I listened to a lot from radio, it doesn’t work well with improving my listening comprehension. I will try movies with English subtitles, do you have any hyper link for those kind of movies, I remember I did some search on google but return no good, I will definitely try again.

@two I don't like radio because you can't pause and listen multiple times. For listening, you really need to be able to listen over and over until you can hear the sounds and words and sentences.

@Actually a Red Panda yes, I am with you. But I listen to radio while I am driving, I drive a lot, so I just take this chance to do some practice, better than nothing.
