I've been to Ukraine a number of time. A place in my heart. Two

years ago today, I went with my band and we performed in a park in Kyiv.
That Friday night, one of my students (Studying in UK) joined us with her mother.
I met her mother who offered to show me more of Kyiv that I hadn't seen previously.
She spoiled me with her favourite restaurant. A tour of the Olympic stadium, with some memorable Champions League final memorabilia and lots of laughs and memories!

Feel blessed to be able to look back on these memories 🙌🏼

@A.M. no test at all. Her mum didn't even speak English. Imagine thinking a nice thing was a test, even though i offered to pay at every opportunity. Imagine thinking I'd only go out with someone because of a chance with their daughter. Thankfully it is 2020 in some places. She was a student and half my age and had a boyfriend. Why turn something nice in to something weird 🤣🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

@Adrian yes, of course I would! Men shouldn't always pay, I prefer to split the bill if he's a stranger, and even a friend

@A.M. I've had Russian and Ukrainian men as guests with my family. They offered to pay like I did. We treated them as our guest like i was. I can't answer for every kind of Russian man, i have nothing to answer to.

@Lana i have many memories and friends Svetlana, Odessa, Donetsk, Kyiv, other rural towns. Kyiv wasn't new to me, so to be treated to new things by someone i knew was lovely 🙌🏼

Kyiv is wonderful. You are lucky to have such hospital friends there 😊 And people are very kind in Ukraine, once we were hitch-hiking in the western Ukraine, and a man who doesn’t even speak Russian gave us a lift and tried to help us as much as he could 😊
