I visited the cathedral near my hometown today - it’s nearly

500 years old. This type of architecture is a huge part of European history. The ceiling is currently covered in over 10,000 origami birds; it’s so beautiful 😍

@luna this is ripon cathedral! A cathedral is a really big church, so a church is used for normal churches and cathedral is used for very big ones. If a place has a cathedral, it automatically becomes a city even if the town is really small. So the place where this cathedral is has only 16,000 residents, but because the town has a cathedral it’s automatically a city even though it’s very small!
