NOW and RIGHT NOW

Even though theses two terms might seem similar

, there is a subtle difference.

NOW can be more general. It can mean within a certain time period. Relative to "before" but not at the immediate moment in time.

"So what are you doing now?"
"Well, Im eating."
"No, i mean are you working?"
"Oh yes, now I work at the Gazette. I'm a reporter."

whereas, RIGHT NOW, most often means ar this immediate moment.

"What are you doing right now?."
"Well, Im working at the Gazette."
"No, i mean , it's Sunday. What are yoi doing right now?
I need your help to move some furniture."
"Oh sure. yes. I will come right over."

Thanks for your information. Can you please write about how to use in, on, at, for. I read for several times before and now I still can't use them properly.

@Linh Nguyen @Linh Nguyen Those are interesting prepositions. There are many type of verb phrases and such which use in, on, at, ans for, so it can be confusing. Perhaps someone will address those.
